OUR STORY
“During the summer of 2018, several brethren from within and around the City of American Canyon has convened to discuss the establishment of a Masonic Lodge within the city. These men believe that it is their moral duty to impart the important teachings of Masonry within their community and agreed that, like all great cities of the world, our young city will benefit from the presence of Masonry. With these goals in mind, we applied for a charter to establish a Masonic Lodge which bears the same name as our community. On October of 2019, during the 170th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of California, MW Trauner, Grand Master of Masons in the State of California has awarded the brethren of American Canyon Lodge No. 875 their Charter and the rest, as they say, is history.
Today the brethren of American Canyon Lodge No. 875, are proud as ever of what they have accomplished. They maintain a dynamic and meaningful relationship with their community, its leaders and other organizations that aim to improve the lives of the people that live within their community. We strive to continue to impart the great moral structures of Freemasonry among our fellow citizens and we aspire to make a difference in every way we can.” – WB Elmer Andrei Manaid (Charter Master)
OUR MISSION
We at American Canyon Lodge No. 875 is dedicated to enabling the leadership in our District to engage and educate our Members, to strive for excellence in our Ritual and to improve ourselves in Masonry through the promotion of the Grand Lodge Strategic Plan and Programs.
By these goals, we as Members are committed to Communicate, Teach, and Live by our Masonic Values within our Craft and Communities.
Masonry is a community of men and their families who share similar beliefs and values. The fraternity finds it important to connect with other men of honor, compassion, love, trust, and knowledge, regardless of their race, color, religious beliefs, political views, sexual orientation, physical ability, citizenship, or national origin. We are friends and brothers, and are connected through this vital and uplifting organization of moral men.
Our continuing pursuit of truth, knowledge, ethics, and leadership skills makes us better men and brings more meaning to our lives. Learning the tenets of Freemasonry, paired with being an active part of our community, gives us the opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills, and builds self-discipline through commitment and self-confidence.
As a member of the Freemasons, the Grand Lodge of California, and American Canyon Lodge No. 875, we are a part of a worldwide organization that values tradition, history, and timeless wisdom. The traditions and core values of our fraternity are meaningful today and will endure for centuries to come because of our direct impact in our community, through our charities, and on a personal level.
American Canyon Lodge No. 875 membership is open to men 18 and older who meet the qualifications and standards of character and intention, and who believe in a Supreme Being. Men of all ethnic and religious backgrounds are welcome.
One of Freemasonry’s customs is not to solicit members – men must seek membership on their own initiative. Anyone is welcome to request information about the fraternity.
If you are interested in applying for membership to our lodge, now is a good time to start. Please contact us to schedule a visit during an event, or request more information.
